06 Apr 2006 Mount Hamiltion
Another weekend another mountain. Mt Hamiltion has motorable road that passes through its summit. An old observatory belonging to University of Sana Cruz is still in operation today. It has both old and new telescopes. These telescopes were states of the art at the time they were built. The old James Lick Observatory building has a Mesopotamian aura. Mountain summit was covered with passing clouds.

Persian Building

The road to Mount Hamiltion passes through terrain which just look and feel like Western Ghats and its tea and coffee estates in Chikkamagalur. There are large private ranches and beautiful bungalows that dot the landscape.
