chandanlog - messages from Chandan's /dev/random or a blog
of the Sun Security Coordination Team Engineer or the
Official Online Journal of Chief Executive Prankster,
Sun Microsystems Inc.,
SYNOPSIS
void chandanlog(int category, char *message);
DESCRIPTION
The chandanlog() function sends a message originating from
Chandan's /dev/random depending on the configuration of
/etc/chandanlog.conf, logs it in an appropriate system log,
writes it to the system console, forwards it to a list of
users, or forwards it to blog on another host over the net.
The logged message includes a message header and a message
body. The message header consists of a datestamp, a category
indicator icon, a title string, and message body with a
permanent link and an option to comment.
Possible values of category include:
LOG_GENERAL
Messages generated by random Chandan processes that
may contain information of no use to anyone.
LOG_SOLARIS
Messages that contain information normally useful to
the lucky geeks and blessed souls who use Solaris.
LOG_SECURITY
Critical conditions, such as security warnings, and
all things secret and secure.
LOG_ART
Designated for messages on subjects like music, dance,
paining, drawing, theatre reading, linguistics, TV,
history, radio, film, video, archaeology, calligraphy,
nature, cartography, visual arts, poetry, photography,
sculpting and literature.
LOG_ERR
Errors.
RETURN VALUES
Sometimes chandanlog() function returns a value of 2 cents,
some other times it returns 2 naya paise. Often it returns no
value.
ERRORS
Typos, Spelling and grammatical errors may be present.
