gnome-panel-screenshot: Solaris/Linux screenshot tool hard to find
I couldn't remember its name, though I just used it a couple months ago. All I know is the name starts with gnome-something. So I typed gnome-s and TAB to autocomplete the command. I should be able to choose from possible matches like gnome-screenshot, gnome-snapshot, or gnome-Silly-Silly-name. The actual matches are:
gnome-search-tool gnome-session-remove gnome-sound-recorder
gnome_segv gnome-session-save gnome-system-monitor
gnome-session gnome-smproxy
gnome-session-properties gnome-sound-properties
I then googled, but nothing revelant in the first-page results.
Finally, I nailed it down with:
/usr/bin > ll *screen*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 36268 Nov 26 2004 gnome-panel-screenshot*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 988 Nov 20 2004 screensaver-properties-capplet*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 5001 Nov 20 2004 xscreensaver.kss*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 324440 Sep 11 2004 screen*
To run this screenshot tool:
/ > gnome-panel-screenshot --help
/ > gnome-panel-screenshot --window --delay 10
--window Grab a window instead of the entire screen
--delay=INT Take screenshot after specified delay [in seconds]
Finally, I used an easy-to-find Gimp (graphics editing/retcouh tool) to finish up my screenshots. Unless I use gnome-panel-screenshot everyday, I'm sure I will soon forget its name.

Hi,
Can anybody help me ? I want to know the command or option for capturing snapshot and saving it with a name automatically. I used gnome-panel-screenshot --delay=INT but it couldn't save the screenshot automatically and wait for user response. Please let me know if anybody know this.
