Esperamos o SFD 2010.

MySignature

How do I use MySignature with Thunderbird?
Why don't the images show up in Thunderbird?

How do I use MySignature with Thunderbird?
In Thunderbird, you attach a signature on the 'Account Settings' screen:

  1. In the folders panel, click on your account name (above Inbox)
  2. Click on 'View settings for this account'
  3. Check the box next to 'Attach this signature'
  4. Click 'Choose...'
  5. Browse to the signature file you downloaded from MySignature and click 'Open'
  6. Click 'OK'

To compose messages in HTML format:

  1. In the folders panel, click on your account name (above Inbox)
  2. Click on 'View settings for this account'
  3. Click 'Composition & Addressing'
  4. Check the box next to 'Compose messages in HTML format'
  5. Click 'OK'

Why don't the images show up in Thunderbird?
The images for the signatures are stored on sun.com, external to SWAN. This is so that the people you send email to outside of Sun will be able to see them. Unfortunately, this means that in order to see them while working inside of SWAN you need to setup your mail application to use a proxy server.

To setup an http proxy in Thunderbird:

  1. Go to 'Tools' -> 'Options...'
  2. Click 'Advanced'
  3. Click 'Connection'
  4. Click the 'Connection Settings' button
  5. Select 'Manual Proxy Configuration'.
  6. Setup your proxy configuration to look like the following:
  7. Click OK

NOTE: Now that Sun no longer requires the use of proxy servers to access the internet from SWAN, you do not need to setup an http proxy to view images in signatures. If you have previously set up a proxy, you can now disable it.

Today, I received a letter from the Sun MicroSystem of Brazil. When looked at the size of the box I was scared. I thought: "how much our kindness of Sun MicroSystem, giving of this homeland for ambassadors." Well actually, this box are blindes for our lectures. I give these blindes, when a viewer is a question, or even a draw at the end of the Tech Demo.

I participate within my university, a junior company, which give us some training classes JAVA.
