vi weblog It's a general practice in India to start anything on an auspicious day. It's called a 'mahurat'. I guess the idea is to ensure that the outcome is beneficial as the auspicious essentially means all cosmic powers are favorable. I have never followed this protocol anytime before, as I don't find it logical.
But when I am sitting idle, I tend to look back at main events in my life and try to find out, what were the cosmic powers up to :) that day. If the search results consist of a historical or mythological or any other widely known event or a day that's significant enough, it gives me an unexplainable satisfaction. I guess it's just a worthless attempt to solve the 'mahurat' puzzle. Or may be it's not and I'll come up with a theory sometime in future based on my observations. :)
... anyway, that's not the point. The point is I am starting today. Myself, Amol Chiplunkar from Pune, Maharashtra, India, A Sun Microsystems, Bangalore, India Employee since Dec 2000. So far it's been an eventless day so I guess the cosmic powers are relatively calm :) Historically, so many things have happend on this calendar day. Nothing looked very significant to me. As per Indian Mythology, today is Hanuman Jayanti.
So, let's see how it goes...
