A PERUVIAN PHOTO MONTAGE
Here's a visual representation of the wild and crazy adventures of Jen, Troy, and Christine in Peru!
And this is how you kill 3 hours in an airport...

who says you can't hike in the rain!
John and I decided that a little rain wasn't going to keep us from enjoying the great outdoors, so we piled on whatever waterproof clothing we could find and headed to
Castle Rock.
We only lasted a little over an hour before booking it back to the car since we were both soaking wet. It was awesome though...beautiful scenery and great company.

My Roots
I love my family. I love them so much I'm going to write about them and I hope they don't get mad. They don't really like it when I tell people about them, but they're such incredible people they should be talked about.
I'll start with my mom because she's the greatest, most beautiful woman on this earth. Sometimes she can get a little ridiculous but she's wonderful and I love her. When I was a teenager I swore I never wanted to be like my mother (all kids at this age despise their parents, but trust me it's just a phase... how could you hate your own mother!) But now I realize I am a carbon copy of her, just 26 years younger. It's not a bad thing, it's just funny how it ends up this way. She has the coolest job ever. She shows up at work around 7:30, does some things to make these stock brokers happy by making them money, spends some time planning our upcoming vacations, making sure we get sweet seats at shows, leaves by 3:30 to make it to her yoga class, then goes home to this beautiful house that I swear needs to be uplifted and transported to southern california. It does NOT belong in San Ramon that's for sure.
Now my brother. Brian's my older brother who works at eTrade in Menlo Park, but lives in the city. Don't worry I give him crap about how he's polluting the ozone with his 40 minute commute back and forth, but he refuses to live closer because he says it's boring down here. Last I checked Mountain View was poppin' and 1st & Goal is one sweet bar! He takes the train though, and that makes me happy. He's a super genius and is going to get his MBA next year. Either Berkeley, UCLA, or Michigan. I'm crossing my fingers for Berkeley... He's a good guy, and tolerates it when I bash his girlfriend all night after I've thrown down a few. Sorry Brian you know deep down I really like Melissa. Seriously, I really do.
Good old Steve-O! Steve joined the clan about 5 years ago. Actually, probably longer than that but during those times I was not fully aware of what was going on between him and my mom :) I'm glad he's around though because my mom has a certain spark now that she didn't have before. He used to be this top dog in Sun's finance department, but then decided to jump ship not too long ago to make it even bigger at this bio tech company. He's awesome though, and he's one killer snowboarder. He needs a little work on the surfboard but at 6'2" I'd be struggling too. He's down to do anything, and that's why we get along. But one of the greatest things I enjoy about Steve is how he calls me out when I'm being a pain in the butt and whining about something stupid. He's a man of action not words. Just SACK IT UP right?!

Machu Pichhu here I come!!
In approximately 48 days, I'll be hopping on a plane to Peru with my bestest friend to backpack the ruins of Machu Picchu!! Thank you Sun for making profit in Q2, giving me a nice bonus, and funding my airfare :) Blondie and I are attempting to trek through these hills on a 14 mile journey in 4 days... unless I pass out due to altitude sickness in which I'll have our porter strap me on the back of his horse and carry me the rest of the way.

Saturday in the park I think it was the fourth of July!...
"People dancing, people laughing... and I've been waiting such a long time."
Chicago - such sentimental lyrics and I cannot think of a better way to describe this incredible day. The reunion of the Fab Four will go down in history as the one most magical times experienced between friends. We're all made to blade baby and don't ever forget that!

Now this is the life!
And in my college days I'd either surf with this strapping young lad or watch him from the beach in absolute awe and amazement. He's incredible!

The good old college days... Oh how I miss that 4 year vacation!
Here's the gang I'd run around with at UCSB wrecking havoc and causing problems in IV... This is a recent shot though, can't you tell we look much more refined and mature now.

Christine's Blog - Day 1
So here goes... A technically challenged gal trying to create a weblog for others to see. Why? Because I need to figure out how exactly this tool works so that I can impress my manager and team with my incredible skills and amazing ability to learn new things quickly! My reign at Sun began the beginning of this year and it's been quite the experience... Let's just say these past 6 months have gone by very fast. Life in the Bay Area has been good to me, although as an avid beach go-er I must say that Santa Cruz water is way too freaking cold!!
Now, here's a pic of the most beautiful sunset you'll ever see (and I'm not going to lie, this sunset was 10 times better in real time!!)
