If you want to park, get a 4x4
Having a 4x4 makes parking a lot easier near the Sun office.

The slope's a bit steeper than it looks on the photo above. Here's the angle from the other days, when someone else pinched my usual space.

One of these everywhere please
I saw this in Karachi airport - very handy. I bet the phone shop generates lots of sales with it too.

Also seen in Karachi airport were these nice plants. The effect was somewhat ruined by the fact that the gardener seems to like leaving his sandals in there with the plants.

I spotted the new FJ Cruiser before Christmas.

Looks too much like a toy to me. Maybe we'll see one in the dunes soon.

This kind of thing drives me crazy.

How can someone not only park illegally in the disabled spot and also manage not to get the car between the white lines? And no, they weren't disabled. There was no badge on the car and besides, someone who really needed this parking space would never be so inconsiderate as to inconvenience someone else like that.
Yes, this happens in countries all over the world - but it's inexcusable, regardless of where it happens.
Sadly nothing gets done about it in our local mall. It's only expensive makes of cars that use the disabled areas illegally - I've never seen them blocked by an Echo or a Sunnny. I think an active clamping patrol will be the only way to fix it.

I'll have to wait a while for the 2s to be in line.

I've found it overly complex in the past trying to create local programmes for the region I cover for Sun.
I wonder how long it took the Middle East region product managers to get their Western based bosses to approve this 'custom solution'?

The area of Dubai I live in doesn't usually get much of what you might call the 'real UAE', but occasionally you get a nice dose of the real world contrasted with the shiny new Dubai that's being built. These pics show a pickup truck full of goats, with what will be the world's tallest building in the background. Quite a nice contrast.
