Reading this article in The Register by Timothy Prickett Morgan, I must laugh.
He wrote:"If Oracle is trying to convince Sun customers that it is committed to the Sparc platform, perhaps it is not trying hard enough."
and
"What is wrong, however, is that there is not a Sparc companion product."
Don't be so fussy.
See,Exadata V2 runs Oracle Linux Enterprise.
And that is also for a reason, I assume: The things were just ready, .... for starters.
Or should I say it is the appetizer for what is going to follow.
Wait and see. I bet, all this runs on Solaris/SAPRC, very soon.
