RAE results

Every 4 or 5 years, UK University departments are assessed in terms of the quality of their research. The outcome effects the various aspects of funding, so is very important indeed to the departments concerned.
The result for the current round released which were released today can be found here.
Congratulations to the two Computer Science departments which I am involved with in the academic sense which have both improved their relative positions.
Aberystwyth moving up to being rated as one of the top 20 research departments in Computer Science in the UK.
Lancaster moving up into the top 10 research departments in Computer Science in the UK.
