Beautiful Days Festival

The annual King family trip to the Beautiful Days Festival took place a few weekends ago. Any outdoor festival where it is fun to take 2 children under 4 is something special, even in a mud bath. 10,000 people in a muddy field being nice to each other.
Highlights in terms of music as judged by the moshing intensity of a 1 and 3 year old were Hobo Jones and the Junk Yard Dogs, Gogol Bordello, The Levellers (it was their festival), 3 Daft Monkeys, Dreadzone, New Model Army, The Damned and Boney M (yes, really). Mud just becomes a play thing, no matter what age you are.
