Wales vs Canada

Monday Nov 20, 2006

I went to see my 1st rubgy match in 7 years (since Auckland vs Canturbury in NZ was the previous one) in Cardiff on Friday night. The Millennium Stadium is the most impressive modern building I have been inside. A great atmosphere, like the front room of Welsh Rugby with 74,022 people invited. No doubt someone at a university somewhere as got a grant to study the psychology of the Mexican wave and has correlated its frequency with consulting the video ref.

The outcome was good if you live in Wales. Canada gave a good account of themselves, so it was a exciting match to watch, but not a close match. Next week will be a very different story for the Welsh lads!
