New Timezone data docs on java.sun.com
New articles relating to how timezones are handled in the Sun JRE have been released on java.sun.com These pages explain how the Java SE group handles new timezone data which regularly changes worldwide. Recent changes in US DST (Daylight Savings Time) rules has highlighted why it's important to keep these rules up to date. Details on the timezone data released in every JRE are also available. Find out more about Sun's tzupdater tool. This product was released to help keep customers update to date with the latest timezone rules regardless of the JRE update version being used.
