New Looks and Feels from JTattoo
Some nice-looking stuff here. Free use and redistribution for non-commercials, royalty-free distribution for commercial apps. Looks pretty good, and they detail how to use the L&Fs for NetBeans. I sorta like SmartLookAndFeel. Note that you'll probably want Ramon's workaround to avoid overly-dark grey tabs.

As an Ubuntu user, you'll also want to check out the latest NetBeans milestone release (aka, a "Q-Build") running on top of a recent Java 7 build. The GTK L&F is looking about 98% complete, and the NetBeans team is continuing to tweak the UI and work with the Swing team on further GTK improvements. The better GTK support is also supposed to be rolled out in the first Java 6 update, but I don't know when that will be released.
