BlogJet Blogging Client
Summary
$40 program, with a 30-day free trial
Works about the same as ScribeFire. Other than the save feature,
there's not much reason to use it (unless you're an IE user, I guess.)
Neither one gives you a way to specify a heading, as far as I can tell.
That's their biggest weakness.
Features
* Ctrl+S to save. Saves a file on the current system,
giving you control over location and name.
* Default font size is a good one. ScribeFire's is a little large.
Use Ctrl+A and the T with a down-arrow to reduce it one
size.
Installation Process
1. Download and run the installer.Part of the process is to restart FireFox. That takes you back to
the install page, which runs the installation, which wants you to
restart FireFox... It's an infinite loop. Terminate it after the first
install.
2. Configure:
- From the Account Wizard dialog, select "I have a blog".
- Blog URL: http://blogs.sun.com/
- Configure Manually
- Edit Connection Settings
- Provider: MetaWeblog API
- Host: blogs.sun.com
- Page: roller-services/xmlrpc
- Port: 80
- Use SSL: No
- Specify login name and password
Note:Technorati Tags: blogging tools
An exception was produced with these settings, but
a login dialog came up after that with all the fields filled
in. Clicking OK seemed to work.
