Monday June 01, 2009 This will be a busy Java One as I have two talks this year. Both are on Wednesday June 3rd.
9:45 am: TS-5254 SPEC Java Platform Benchmarks and Their Role in the Java Technology Ecosystem.
This should be a cool talk. I'm presenting with Anil Kumar from Intel Corporation, whom I'm worked with for a few years now on SPEC Java benchmark development. We'll give an overview of each of the SPEC Java benchmarks, how each benchmark stresses JRE and systems performance, and highlight how active competition has influenced and improved the performance of the Java platform as a whole.
4:10 pm: TS-7499 Maximizing Java Technology-Based Application Performance on Multicore Platforms
This is another interesting talk that will highlight many of our most recent performance optimizations for multi-core platforms. It will also go over the performance engineering process, analysis tools, and a neat demo. I'm presenting with Kingsum Chow from Intel Corportation, this will be our third Java One presenting together. Kingsum is my counterpart at Intel for our Java performance collaboration, its been great working with him and I look forward to presenting together once again.
