Sun's reputation I just took a look at this article and this report. Quite interesting!!! Here is a quote that makes me even more confident about Sun's future:
"Well, the results are in, and they show Sun was the company with the most favourable impression amongst our readers."

Hamburg might have the best street magazine. - Buy it, if you can! Since my blog is quite popular, I thought I should use it to help some people who do not get too much marketing support.
When I lived in the Bay Area, I was always shocked about the large number of homeless people especially in places like San Francisco and Oakland. Back then I believed that the situation is much better here in Germany. However, when I moved to Hamburg I had to realize that it's pretty bad here in Hamburg as well. Many people live on the street and have to eat what other people throw away.
I'm still doing far too little to help solve the problem, considering that I know, everybody including me could be one of them. However, I do buy the local street magazine every month. It's called Hinz & Kunzt, and I definitely can recommend it.
I don't buy it just because I want to make a little donation and to make the poor homeless guy selling it to me a little happier. Hinz & Kunzt is actually quite interesting to read! Just give it a try! I have bought a few street magazines in various cities, and I think Hinz & Kunzt is by far the best I have seen and read so far!
I don't agree with all articles and opinions published in that street magazine, but Hinz & Kunzt is an interesting and valuable "window" to a world of which I'm (fortunately and unfortunately) not really a part of. I learn about problems which I fortunately don't have to think and care about myself at the moment, simply because I still can affort to pay for my appartment. However, I learn about issues about which newspapers and TV typically don't talk about, since it's not popular to talk about these issues.
Thus, buy Hinz & Kunzt if you can! Reading it will open your eyes in many ways!

"Once again, I delay a switch to Windows" I found quite funny:
"With any luck, Windows Vista, which will finally be released in (fill in year/month here) will be stable and secure enough to use for actual day-to-day work. If it is, I might be tempted to switch. But if Windows Vista is as stable and secure as Linux, it will be just as boring as Linux, so there will be no point in moving to it."

"Google Introduces Software Starter Kit" "The "Google Pack" software bundle will include third-party apps such as the Firefox browser, Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus, and six of Google's own programs, including Desktop Search and the Picasa image management tool.
Google is distributing a free software startup kit designed to make computing safer and easier - a generous gesture driven by the company's desire to steer technology offline as well as online.
The software bundle, unveiled Friday in Las Vegas during a speech by Google co-founder Larry Page, represents the Internet search engine leader's latest jab at industry kingpin Microsoft."

"Massachusetts OpenDocument plan still on track" "Fehrnstrom said the state remains on schedule for an implementation of OpenDocument-based desktop software in executive branch agencies.
"There have been no changes in the commonwealth's published OpenDocument rules, and we are still on track for a January 2007 implementation," Fehrnstrom said."
