Great new StarOffice review!
From the summary:

"However, I don't look at price on its own; I look at value and I think that's what StarOffice really delivers: a very functional feature-packed productivity suite at a reasonable price. I personally have been using OpenOffice.org and StarOffice for many years and find that for most tasks they do the job just as well or better than Microsoft Office. If you are looking to break the expensive upgrade cycle for Microsoft Office without sacrificing functionality, StarOffice or OpenOffice.org is the best choice I can recommend, especially for the Linux user."

Details about Bristol's StarOffice Deployment
Thanks to Jono Bacon for reminding me that I had not added links to the Bristol City Council success story to my blog. Here are the pages on the web site of the Open Source Academy.

"Firefox gets a fifth of European market"
The numbers look high, a bit too high to me, but still very promising:

"XiTi, which based its figures on a sample of 32.5 million Web site visits that took place on Jan. 8, said Finland has the highest proportion of Firefox users, followed by Slovenia and Germany. It found that the open-source browser is used by 38, 36 and 30 percent of users in these countries, respectively."
