OpenOffice.org for close to 200,000 pupils in France
Thanks a lot to Charles Schulz for pointing this out to me! According to this French article USB sticks containing various open source applications will be distributed to close to 200,000 pupils. The USB sticks will contain OpenOffice.org, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird as well as the multi-media player VLC.

OpenOffice.org looks good in EU funded usability study
Florian Effenberger from the German OpenOffice.org community just made me aware of this usability study. As the website says, "tOSSad is an EU project funded under FP6 IST program". The results for OpenOffice.org look very good. Check it out yourself!
