Blogging about your favorite grocery store (Aldiblog)
Could you imagine blogging about your shopping trips to Albertson's, Safeway's, Raley's, etc.? No? That is exactly what some people are doing in the German Aldiblog (or used to be doing as it seems). Aldi is a low-price grocery store that you can find in almost every German city.

People blogged about their shopping experiences, special offers (food and non-food), recipes, product reviews, funny stories, etc. For some people Aldi has gained a "cult status" similar to what you might know from stores like IKEA or Fry's. Considering that blogging is still not as popular in Germany as it is in other parts of the world, I find it funny to see that people blogged about their favorite grocery store.

Aldi's is a little bit bigger than germany, I live in Milwaukee, WI we have aldi's here as well, to see if you have a local one near you, visit www.aldi.com they appear to be a multinational.

Having been raised in the southern california area, I can compare the stores you mention, and for the most part, aldi's beats them in prices. That makes aldi's more bloggable in my eyes.
