"Brazil: The Next Windows vs. Linux Battleground?"
Another country where Microsoft has to fight against the success of open source:
"Microsoft is poised to introduce its entry-level Windows XP Starter Edition product in Brazil, according to published reports coming out of that country this week."

Microsoft thought this version would equip the "Popular PC" program, but the government seems to be opting for Linux.
