German department store chain saves money with StarOffice
As can be read in this German article, the German department store chain Karstadt saves about 60% in operating costs due to their recent switch to Linux and StarOffice. Quite impressive, I think! In case you don't know Karstadt, Karstadt has about 32,000 employees and had in 2006 an annual revenue of close to 5 billion Euro. Thus, we're not talking about a small company here.
