Hello Erwin, My name is Jim Curtin. I am the CEO of Virtual Bridges, the owners of Win4Lin, and, as of yesterday, Win4Solaris. We have been working for a long time with Craig Bender and Bob Gianni of the Sun Ray team to offer them a way to deliver Windows applications without requiring a Windows Server (as with Tarantella/Secure Global Desktop). We are complementary to SGD but we allow SGD to focus more on legacy integration more so than Windows integration. We have also, for a long time, wanted to play a bigger role with the OpenOffice initiative. Win4Solaris comes in both a desktop and a server (remote display) option. The desktop version runs Windows in a Virtual Machine. I believe the combination of OpenOffice with Win4Solaris could be incredibly powerful in securing the entire desktop footprint for Sun - there would be no need to keep a physical Windows machine around for access to legacy Windows applications. In any event, I am pleased to meet you. I hope that we can get into a productive dialog on how we might help each other. If nothing else, perhaps you can post us on your blog. The press release can be found here: http://www.win4lin.com/index.php/content/view/219/202/ Also, if you know any other groups or parties that would be interested in this, please do not hesitate to share this with them. My email is Jim@vbridges.com and my cell number is 512-695-1150. Thanks! Jim
