Vista and Office 2007 are not popular with everybody
If you read this, this, and this you will realize that a growing number of organizations decides not to upgrade to the latest versions of Microsoft Windows and Office. An interesting trend!

What those articles have shown is three departments of the US Federal Government are currently banning Vista/Office 2007. Unless I missed something I don't see that it states a permanent band. I'm also not sure that 3 stories points to a trend of anything. Google Apps is not a replacement for Office. In fact, the organizations banning Office 2007 should take a good hard look at that decision given the productivity improvements offered by the Ribbon UI. I'd be far more interested to see stories of organizations adopting Vista/Office 2007 but those won't make quite the same headlines.
