Project Coin: Week 3 Update

Project Coin's third week was another week of lively traffic on the mailing list. New proposals were sent in:

existing proposals were revised:

and discussion continued on ARM and other proposals. The scoping and utility of a few pre-proposals was discussed on the list too.

Ten days remain to get language change proposals in! (Purely libraries changes will be handled by other JDK 7 processes.)

BTW, is there something similar to Project Coin like a "project for small API changes"? I'm sure lot of people would have nice ideas.

There will be a general process defined for JDK 7 for small changes to be evaluated and get in:

In the mean time, I suggest posting your idea and getting feedback on
core-libs-dev@openjdk.java.net
and looking over the OpenJDK contribution process:
http://openjdk.java.net/contribute/
