CoolThreads == Cool Crypto As I wrote previously the UltraSPARC T1 (Niagara) processor can do the hard maths for RSA on chip without requiring a dedicated PCI card. There are a few great blogs by other Sun people out there on how to use this and what kind of performance it gives. Chi Chang has a great blog on how you can very easily see the capability of the RSA support using the OpenSSL speed command. Ning talks about how this plugs into the Cryptographic Framework, how to plug it into the SJES WebServer and our new in kernel SSL proxy, the source of which is available on OpenSolaris. For more pointers to blogs on the new era of CMT that UltraSPARC T1 has brought to us head over to Rich McDougall's CMT metablog Technorati Tags: ( Dec 13 2005, 06:13:09 PM GMT ) Permalink Comments [0]
