Be careful what you wish for

So some accursed spammer found an internal Sun alias that is called something like "everysunemployeeinexistence@sun.com" (though obviously that's not the one) and sent a few mails to it.

Almost inevitably, this triggered a storm of replies to the entire alias saying "Please remove me from this alias" which has clogged up the internal mail system all morning. Who needs the Morris worm when you've got humans with email?

Right now I wish I worked in Human resources and could grant the wishes of everyone who wants to be removed from the employee list. Come to think of it, maybe this could be the new way of handling RIFs - it has the added benefit of increasing the average IQ of the company...
