You can use an iPod with two computers, you just can't use auto-sync on both computers. Read the following for an argument against using auto-sync altogether and for instructions on how to turn it off: Bill Palmer: Bring your iPod to life by killing auto-sync
I have one computer that I use as a "master" that I have using auto-sync. But when I'm on the road, and only have my laptop with a smaller harddrive, I use my iPod in non-sync'd mode.
