Dave's Bit BucketDave Walker's jottings - mostly pertaining to security TX-Ranger script v1.0 gets first Happy Customer ...and he's a Sun Fellow :-). v1.0 has now been submitted for upload to the TX area of opensolaris.org; I'll post an update pointing to it, once it's there. v1.0 is fairly basic; it will install the TX packages and build zones suitable for use with the standard label_encodings, and configure the all-zones interface to give a vanilla, working TX environment. Still, for initial TX investigation and evaluation, it's useful - it was exactly what Jim was looking for - more flexible and customisable capabilities will be coming in a future version... Update: The initial script doesn't work properly on SXDE / Nevada, so - as you might expect - it has not been accepted for upload to opensolaris.org in its current state. However, for folk using Solaris 10 11/06 (aka "Update 3"), it works just fine. Therefore, pending tweaks to make it work in current cutting-edge environments, please find copy of the v1.0 script here. Netcraft doesn't say what webserver it's running (probably because it's had an anonymisation job done on it, having queried it directly), and the source for the home page seems reasonably well set out - but given that it's a place with regulars who work at QinetiQ and Fujitsu Defence, as well as me, I'd hope that good security practices would rub off ;-).
