I'm Still Alive! Getting Ready for JavaOne...

Yes I'm still alive!  I've been working feverishly on a project since about last November and I can almost talk about it.  Many of you have already seen it (Hint: the paragraph below).  Anyway, hopefully very very soon I'll be able to open up the bloggate (my new word!) and share my experiences with everyone.

Also, my BOF (Birds-Of-A-Feather) session for JavaOne has been accepted.  The title is, "Developing a Real-World Web Application with NetBeans Release 5.5 Visual Web Pack" and the session ID is BOF-9055.  I'm currently scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 8-8:50PM in Gateway 104.  There are lots of good BOFs in that same time slot but please show up if you can.

Snow?

I should have known. I was really on top of the "get ready for summer" thing this year. This is probably the earliest I've had the sprinkler system turned on and the fountain up and running.
I woke up this morning to snow in Greeley, Colorado. There isn't much. But come on! It's April 28th. Apparantly, it's going to be "yucky":http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USCO0170?from=search_city for the next couple of days. I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm in the middle of a code-athon anyway. That's when you write code from whenever you can drag yourself out of bed until about 3 AM in the morning. Before the weather turned, I would actually hear birds singing *BEFORE* I went to bed. Now that's bad!
