A blog site sent me a free mousepad...

Thursday Jun 16, 2005

Every now and then I check out Rosie O'Donnell's blog. I've talked about it on here before and I really like the format. A while ago I "registered" on the site.. which consisted of entering my email address (the one I give out for not-so-important stuff) and mailing address. I don't know why I did but I figured she might send some interesting political emails.

So yesterday in the mail I get a large envelope addressed to me. I wasn't sure what it was or who it was from (the return address was Kidro or something like that). To my surprise, I open it and it's a mousepad with the phrase Go Blog Yourself. Pretty funny. I figured out that it was from the rosie.com site and she sent out 15k mouse pads. Hmmmm... I wonder if folks would be interested in a free gift from the BSC site. C'mon. Who doesn't love a free gift?

Did you hear about the boy who died at Disney World?

Tuesday Jun 14, 2005

A 4-year-old boy died at Disney World's Epcot Center. Full Story Even though I may get made fun of, I will say that I love Disney World. I grew up going there every year.. mostly because my grandparents lived down the street. I was there less than six months ago where I went on the ride that's possibly the cause of the death, Mission Space. Since I'm at Disney often (my parents now live nearby), I always look forward to checking out the new rides.

I hated Mission Space. The pressure felt during the ride (from those g-forces) made me sick to my stomach. It was different from anything I've felt. I love roller coasters that loop and twist and even go backwards... but this was different. Could it be the fact that on the Mission Space ride, you aren't actually moving? Maybe I should have taken that physics class in high school.

Whatever the cause of the 4-year-old's death, my thoughts go out to his family & loved ones...
