Salty Whales

These humpbacks were spotted off of Kaiopae Point north of Kawaihae Harbor. If you ever do any whale watching on the Big Island, I highly recommend Eye of the Whale Adventures. Beth Goodwin has been following whales or over 26 years and really knows her stuff.

While on the tour, they played a live feed of the male whales singing. Awsome! To listen, go to Jupiter Research Foundation's page. You can hear the feed until late May.

I went on a whale watch out of Provincetown on Cape Cod and it was one of the most stupendous things! No one can understand the whale unless they see them in the wild. (But they do stink!)
