OpenSolaris at CES

Tuesday Jan 13, 2009

Over this past weekend I visited the CES show in Las Vegas for the first time.  It was pretty cool for gadget freaks, though I didn't get to see anywhere near everything.  But one booth I did stop into was Toshiba's, and found a nice surprise:

Pretty cool to see your work on display at "the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow", a claim none of my buddies could make!

Update: See the press releases from Sun and Toshiba for more information on availability.

Wow, That's a good new. I hope that we can buy someone here in Latinamerica.

If I see correctly, Super key has MS Windows logo, not OpenSolaris circles. Is this a prototype?

I believe the initial availability is US-only. I'm not aware of any plan to use the OpenSolaris logo on the keyboard.

Awesome! Where do I pre-order to buy one?

I'm not aware that pre-orders are being accepted. As soon as I have a pointer to where you can place orders, I'll be sure to post it.

Dave are there any indications as to which models will be offered?

I believe it's the R600 and R10.
