Gas Prices Have Tripled Over the Past Six Years
I found this website which displays a graph of gas prices over the past six years (http://www.sanjosegasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx). You can select from specific areas, or the U.S. average. Guess what the price of gas was six years ago? The U.S. average was $1.31. The U.S. average is now $3.94. Something is clearly wrong here.
Yes, here in Australia the prices are getting to the point that people are having to seriously watch how much they use
their cars because of the cost of fuel. I just did some maths (converting Australian $$$/Litre to US $/Gallon) and I'm now
paying the equivalent of US $6.38/Gallon......
But, there's always the benefits associated with changes like this - I'm getting so much more exercise when I walk 'round
to the shops rather than drive !

Walter, yes, you are correct. There are good things coming of this also. Another good thing is that more and more people are switching to smaller, more fuel efficient cars and we're looking into better, more sustainable, cleaner energy sources.
