The blogs.sun.com service used to run on Apache + Tomcat + Roller due to certain Tomcat requirements from Roller and certain mod_rewrite requirements in the URI space. With the release of Web Server 7.0 all of these needs were met (and then some), and the blogs.sun.com team was quick to adopt the new technology and roll it into production.

Welcome to Web Server 7.0 blogs.sun.com, and enjoy the ride!

PS: For the rest of you thinking about trying Web Server 7.0: Go for it! It's fantastic software, it's free to use, and Sun will be happy to sell you indemnification and support if you want extra insurance. Join the party!
