Some feeling about the int'l software china 2005 The int'l software china 2005 was a really really big exhibition.....Many companies showed their products,their solutions there....The design of the exhibition hall was grant,and very different from each other....everyone standed for their companies' culture....You could feel that you were in another world....The scene was very busy and hot...hugely busy! I was one of the worker there....showed the audiences the mozilla/firefox first then the looking glass....That desktop system is very cool.....It always attractted many people surrounding the little table where the screen was placed....That made me always demonstrate it to many people many many times...explained the architecture of looking glass many many time...and finally exhausted....Maybe there should be some kinda document of the application we demonstrated...And it would reduce the intensity of every engineer's work....Really it was not easy for everyone to stand there,demonstrate,and speak all day long....However I'd love to....I found that was very interesting to show the SUN to all of the world....It was my duty...And I am proud of it.... Another feeling is about the lectures....I found the lectures are extremely different styles from SUN and Microsoft....Our lectures were made by our engineers....those were moderately focusing on technology...By contrast,the lectures were made by marketing in microsoft exhibition area...Theirs were more passionate...and demagogic..... I still remember a part of one lecture....The people told to the audiences: 'There are much more bugs...defects...and the security holes in windows,rather than unix...That proves there are more users using the windows...That proves the large proportion of windows in the market' Yeah...different is different...I still prefer sun's style...That is why I am in SUN...Maybe we should think of the difference between sun and microsoft...It is worthy to think.... huh...I think there is nothing special to write down here...From the birth of the unix...there are more than 30 years in the way of software...But nothing can surprise me right now in the exhibition...There must be a bottleneck of the software industry....But where it is?

My RETURN I haven't written the blog for a long time...The reason is very simple that my best friend in canada always teased me about my english.Yeah...I am completely fairly and moderately ashamed about what she said....to show my bad writing to all of the world....with lots of mistakes...and misunderstanding... You know,she told me my english is HORRIBLE! Yeah....HORRIBLE! I was very much scared....I closed my mouth,and stayed silent for a long while.... However,I can not stay silent in the rest of my life Okay,anyway....how could I be a turtle hiding in my shield....And how could I be an ostrich hiding my head in the sand....even my english name is sandy though.... Now,it is the time....it is the time to challenge my english....to improve and make it better.... Well,if memory works on me,I still remember what I want to record here... Farewell my lead It is Apr 30th,2005.It is not a good day in beijing for a muggy day with cloudy sky.And my lead will leave.You know,He leads me since I became a sunflower.He gave a lot while I started my professional career as an engineer.He taught me a lot in tech and other things.Yes,I am a little bit of down now,cause i really really feel something lost.I will not see him in the office from today on.... I am used to the situation that many colleagues think of I am a lady according to my name.In fact,I am a man.You may be very interesting that what my english name is.well,my english name is sandy.However it is not a girl's name.It is used by both boys and girls. essay today -well,What do you think about it? -Hay,About what? -Guess? -The mozilla or the firefox? -Perfect! Well,as a small potato in mozilla community,I have my own thought about the mozilla and firefox.But why do I write it here and today?I think the reason is extremely simple,you know.I got a mozilla thirt yesterday for my first check-in patch.You can treat it as a milestone to sandy's life in mozilla.But the very milestone is also a new beginning to me.Yeah,a little bit of excited. Therefore I should add some comments to the mozilla in my mind.I think mozilla should follow some rules played by IE.Sure,mozilla is great,the spirit of the great open source,the largest community in the world.mozilla.org shiped mozilla before,and ship firefox today.We can image what will happen while there is only one company holding the market.Really,I don't like it.However I need to accept a fact.The IE is accepted by most people in the world.IE has its thought and its own way to solve something.But mozilla also has its own way.If we do not follow the IE's solution,we will do not obey the common custom in the mass market. Take JS for example,the solution and the restriction to the date is different to IE.Take flash for example,the interface is totally different. The result is that the difference bring us lots of bugs.....

Thanks for Kevin.H I find I get the habit to write the blog everyday now.What is today's topic?I am thinking.....well,let me writing something about KH.He is a nice person,really nice in my mind.He was my mentor in my intern life.And now he is my lead in the team.He helps me so much that I can not appreciate him by the weak word,thank you. Today he helps me again as usual.I can feel his warm heart and the sense of responsibility as before.I want to say many thanks to your great help and support in my sun life.And I will never let you down.

feedback from a defect Well,I find it clearly that when I meet a good book in tech I will buy it.However I do not take much time to read it.I can not remember how many books I bought to home,and how long are they.Most of them still have the smell as a whole new book. It is really really a defect in my mind.More stock and less read.Damn,how can I keep this kind of things going on in my life.I do not like fickleness anyway..... I post it here to notify myself to get rid of it form now on....

The way in Unix Four year passed I still remember the first time I met the solaris.At that time,there was solaris 8 in the world,and at that time a E250 carried it...I can not remember many details of that date with solaris.But The SUN microsystem's logo is very impressive in my mind from then on,so did the proud field engineer.And I think that is the beginning of my way in unix. Now it is the year of 2005.I begin to sigh for the splendent unix world,I begin to sigh for my ignorance of the great world.Sometimes I am a little bit holpless to the future.I do not think I can catch up with bill.joy in 10 years,even catch up him when he were 30 years old......But I know,I will never give up the way.But I know,if we can dream it,we can do it......

Fist day recall Today is a day of a normal day.It is sunny and fine in beijing china,as usual.But it is the first day of myself in the sun blog. Well,SUN always stands for a innovative sprite,so I fell in love with it since I was a senior student 6 years ago.There is a dream in my heart that is to be a excellent engineer in SUN Microsystems long time ago,cause I like challenge,and I love the computer science. Now it comes ture.In the chilly and sunny morning of Mar 4, 2004, I stepped into the office of SUN China Engineering/Research Institute and started the first job in my life as a software engineer of SUN Microsystems. It was my 23rd birthday.....the same old as SUN Microsystem.
