...so little time.
This last couple of weeks have been hectic, so I apologise humbly for the lack of considered blog content.
For instance in the last two days I've met with the Conservative Shadow Minister for the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), Adam Afriyie MP, when he came to meet with the CBI's Innovation, Science and Technology (IST) Committee at Centrepoint in London, and yesterday I was in Leeds getting an update status of Sun's work with BT on the Connecting for Health (CfH) Data SPINE programme.
Whilst in Leeds I also popped along to the inaugural meeting of the BCS Enterprise Architecture (EA) Speciality Group (SG). I have high hopes for the SG, especially as it's being driven by Mike Buck, the newly appointed Chairman, whom I have a great deal of confidence in.
I'm just checking with the CBI IST committee around what I can blog re: meeting Adam Afriyie and what was discussed in the CBI IST committee meeting this week. Once that's through I'll post some thoughts if appropriate.
It was great to see the Sun team working on the SPINE programme, they have some unique issues to contend with, challenged by the sheer scale of the programme itself. However they are a great team, with excellent technology leadership being provided by Peter Shillitoe, easily our most senior technologist working day to day with BT.
Still have to blog about meeting John Denham MP, the Secretary of State for DIUS, at the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), plus half a dozen other posts, as well as blogging about the events I'm due to speak at and make it easier for you to see these, attend and participate (probably via Google Calendar initially).
Finally when I get chance I'll post some thoughts, hopes and aspirations I have for and about the newly created BCS EA SG (look Mom, just acronyms!).
