Last night we attended the Ramona High School Senior Awards night. We knew that Alex had applied for several scholarships and that he had been awarded one from the Ramona Rotary Club. We were surprised to find out that he also got two other scholarship awards from the PTSA and the Chamber of Commerce. So far he has been awarded $2500! It is still a long way from paying the full tuition at USD next year, but it sure will help. Today he has an interview for a work/study/research program over the summer that will also potentially pay him $2500.

Last night the school gave out over $800,000 of scholarship award money. Not bad for our little community.

One week from today we will have our first kid graduating from High School.
