Earlier this morning I got up to view the total eclispe of the moon. We had perfect viewing conditions. No coastal clouds up here in Ramona. I didn't set the alarm for the peak of the eclipse at 3:37am, but I did go outside twice to view it. The first view was around 1:30am and the moon was obscured by about one quarter. The next time I got up it was after 4am. This time you could see the moon glowing red.

Nice picture!

Didn't see much of anything but did see the most amazing meteor last night: could actually see it breaking up. Way better than Perseid meteor showers...
