Are DSEE patches considered separate from the JCS patches?
In other words, should one upgrade DSEE as it comes out of only through the auspices of the JCS system and JCS installer?

Nate,
We're making the assumption that you'd apply DSEE patches when they'd become available, and use more of a "care and feeding" issue with Directory Server. So the answer would be, yes, apply the DSEE patches for Java Comms Suite 5.
