A new micro update to the 2009.Q2 software has been posted. This release contains only two small fixes, one to address spurious NTP failures and one to address a performance regression introduced in the 2009.Q2.2.0 release. Users with a heavy write workload running 2009.Q2.2.1 should upgrade at their earliest convenience.
Complete release notes can be found here.
Just installed this and it seems to work fine. I'm really pleased with the package updating mechanism. It's very easy. I just wish there was a "hey, I'm done patching, click 'OK' to reboot" dialog, rather than just rebooting (yes, I know it warns you, but it warns you several minutes before it actually goes bang).
On another note, I just ran into something in our testing of the 7410 (nice box!) that I consider a bug. When you enable iSNS, you disable sendtargets. To me, that's a bug. I should be able to use both. Most of the clients I want to test support iSNS, but ESX 3.5 doesn't. It can only do sendtargets. So it really confused me to see no targets until I disabled iSNS! Any chance that can get fixed?
Keep up the great work. I think we may be buying a 7210 off the educational Sun Matching Grant, as it's barely more expensive than just the WARRANTY EXTENSION on our Dell/EMC CX3-40!
