Girls' Interests in the Field

Development Executive and President of the Women's Technology
Foundation
Rosemary Bayer supports Camp
Infinity,
which
takes
place in mid-July for girls to learn about different forms of
technology.
Bayer says the camp has two objectives. "The first is, you can do it
and it's fun" and the second objective is to encourage girls to pursue
careers in the technology industry, where women are underrepresented.
She
adds, "The Michigan Council of Women in Technology started because
there
are very few women in the field. We realized we needed to get
more girls motivated and inspired about math and computer science."
