We're working on a new and improved external web presence for the Sun Foundation and the larger Global Citizenship organization.

I just saw wireframes of the new site and did a preliminary walk through.

I'm very excited.

It will launch in the next few weeks.

I think it's going to be really great.

is that the wrong term? so sorry... it's what I call them... they're outlines our web design people do to make sure we're all on the same page before we move into marking everything up in HTML.

It is a very cool term and has been used for at least thirty years around the CAD/CAM world and possibly elsewhere. It is generally much much faster to generate quick 3D wireframes of structures and then rotate it to see various features. We can then apply surface characteristics and material to the structure. If this is in the manufacturing world we then generate tool paths and determine the method to actually produce the thing. It is a really amazing process to go from concept to wireframes and then tool path and product all within one factory floor. This is where CAD/CAM software and Solaris are a wonderful fit.
