Sun just published a SPECjAppServer®2004 benchmark using all FREE software:
Sun Java (TM) Systems Application Server 9.0 Platform Edition, which derived from the opensource Glassfish project
MySQL 5
All running on Solaris 10
here is the url with all the details:
http://www.spec.org/jAppServer2004/results/res2006q2/jAppServer2004-20060509-00029.html
I'm really curious to see the cost of the benchmark compared to competitors. :)
oops, here they are

I saw many posting and blog remarks discussing whether most of our
software is really free or not?
Yes, there seems to be a confusion, I guess mainly due to our multiple
download sites, where some of them has the title like Proxy server
Try and Buy,
or download X product
30 day
evaluation version.
But listen, just go to
this page,
select the package(s) you want to download, and voila.
As it is already obvious, all the software downloadable from the page
linked above are
free of
charge. In case you need support, then you have to pay.

softwareforum) product related content, training offerings

How to change the domain of a deployed
Access Manager instance?
let's assume that your old domainname is old.hu and your company
changed its name to new.hu so you want to change every
domain to new.hu including your Access Manager box called
ambox.old.hu to ambox.new.hu
Here is how I did this:
1. put this line into /opt/SUNWam/lib/AMConfig.properties
com.sun.identity.server.fqdnMap[old.hu]=new.hu
2. Add ambox.new.hu to your Organization Aliases.
3. Add .new.hu to the cookie domain in Service Configuration|Platform
4. change the servername of the webserver's* listen socket to
<LS id="ls1" port="80" servername="ambox.new.hu"
defaultvs="https-ambox.old.hu" ip="any" security="off"
acceptorthreads="1" blocking="false"/>
*provided the Access Manager is deployed in

Java System Web Server 6.1
yeah. that happened today. It took almost 2 hours to reach the office.
the reason? Gas escape. After filling up a gas reservoir at a petrol
station, the driver of a big gas carrier truck forgot to properly
disconnect all the pipes so he managed to broke some
valves, and high pressure gas started to leak.
That was pretty close to one of the important street of Budapest, which
was closed due to this.
