Savage Chickens ... in Distractions
Savage Chickens (via Drawn!) is an online chicken cartoon by Doug Savage.
"Like some sort of haunting supernatural force, the chickens bubbled up from the darkness of Doug's subconscious mind. In a trance-like state, he drew them on office whiteboards. He drew them in notebooks. He drew them on anything that sat still long enough. People started asking, "Who's drawing those damn chicken cartoons everywhere?"
Doug tried to stop but he couldn't. The chickens were unstoppable. To retain his sanity, all he could do was grab a stack of sticky notes, and release the Savage Chickens."

Friday's Distractions: Emails that made me go huh? ... in Distractions
Occasionally I get this emails that after reading several times, leave me thinking to myself "Ok, I've read that a few times now. It's in English, but I still have no clue what it means."
Email #1
"If you are looking for a new home for your dwarf hamster, I would appreciate it, if you could please let me know."
Email #2
"After speaking with [name removed] I have a much better idea on what you all are."
So, I better find that dwarf hamster, and now I'm not so confident on what I am. Good thing it's Friday.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (1337 captioned) ... in Distractions
If you're not into online gaming, then this probably will only cause a large question mark to form in your head (and I'm not sure if this guide is going to help.) But if you're fluent in the lingo, then the Revenge of the Sith trailer with added subtitles for the 1337 among us will surely bring about a chuckle (warning: bad words and stuff). It r0xx0rz! The line about tk'ing made me spit out my coke :)
If you are plagued by the question mark, don't worry. Alex Trebeck was left scratching his head as well.

The Official Shotgun Rules ... in Distractions
"The term "Shotgun" refers to the front passenger seat of an automobile. "Calling Shotgun" is the act of claiming the position of Shotgun for one's self. As this position is the most coveted of all positions when riding in a car, the following list of rules has been created to ensure that Shotgun can be acquired in a fair and equitable manner by any passenger of an automobile." Just in case you wanted to know, or were unclear on the established protocol.

A Letter to Frito-Lay ... in Distractions
I found this "A Letter to Frito-Lay" a long time ago, but I have it bookmarked and re-read it from time to time. I still get a giggle out of it. From that story I discovered Fireland. It seems Josh has moved on to Chokeville.

The Meaning of Blog ... in Distractions
The Urban Dictionary (language warning!) has some interesting definitions of Blog, but here's my two favorite:
1. A meandering, blatantly uninteresting online diary that gives the author the illusion that people are interested in their stupid, pathetic life. Consists of such riveting entries as "homework sucks" and "I slept until noon today."
2. Before it became an internet word, blog was a very strong drink of indeterminate recipe invented by sf fans, worse even than their Nuclear Fizz; like Monty Python’s Australian “fighting” wine, it is generally believed that blog is best left in the bottle so it can be used for hitting people over the head with.
He drank a large glass of blog and promptly fell over.
So of course I had to go look up Monty Python's Australian "fighting" wine ...
