Recently a presentation on the open source Symbian Operating System was given by me. The presentation also included application development on the Symbian OS in the form of Symbian C++ and J2ME.

On 23rd and 24th October, a Linux workshop was organized at Osmania University. The workshop focused on the Linux operating system. Virtualization was also covered as a part of this workshop in the form of VirtualBox.

On 21st October, I took a session on Oracle Forms emphasizing the Forms feature of the Oracle database. The presentation also covered how Java containers and applets interact with the database to give rich GUI.

I recently attempted the SCJP 5.0 exam and passsed with a score of 97%.

As a part of IAP, we (J. Kamala Ramya, K. Laxman Bharadwaj and me) worked on Asynchronous And Synchronous Database Replication - An Application Framework, under the guidance of Sun Microsystems Inc.

This summer, students of Osmania University worked with Sun Microsystems Inc. to understand the work culture of corporate organizations, under the Industry Association Program (IAP).

At the end of the semester, the second year students of Osmania University, presented their Java projects as a part of their curriculum under the guidance of the faculty, with the support of the college management and S.O.U.R.C.E.

After the technical sessions every day, there were several entertainment events which got the pulse of the crowd running.
