Looking at the NetBeans Platform Book's Samples
Together with the NetBeans Platform book (which is planned to be called "Rich Client Programming: Plugging into the NetBeans Platform"), we're talking about including a set of samples on a CD that will accompany the book. All the samples planned to be on the CD are discussed in one chapter or another in the book. In many cases, the chapters explain in detail how to build the sample in question. To give you a picture of the samples one can expect to find, here's a screenshot of everything that's currently set to be included:
And all these samples provide fully functioning NetBeans modules. If anything, this shows that the book will be extremely oriented to practical, real-life, usable scenarios. Cool, right?
