Sun Blogs from Bangalore
Trying to keep track of the Sun blogs of the people I met while in India. Here they are, as far as I can recall (if someone is left out, please leave a comment with your blog address):
- http://blogs.sun.com/vdblog. Vadiraj is one of the software engineers in Bangalore. His team demonstrated some cool modules they're making on top of the NetBeans Platform. He recently began an incredibly useful series of blogs on the NetBeans XML Multiview API and the NetBeans Visual Library API. I have high technical expectations of this blog!
- http://blogs.sun.com/vivek. Vivek is also a software engineer in Bangalore. We didn't speak long, but he seems to be someone involved with NetBeans IDE, or with the NetBeans Platform. He mentions, in his latest blog entry, something about schema-based code completion and I'm hoping he'll tell us more!
- http://blogs.sun.com/bio. This is a very interesting blog by Manjula, one of the managers of the technical writers in Bangalore. The blog entries are long, discursive, entertaining, and with a lot of insights on the intersections between biology and IT. I recommend the reader takes a cup of morning coffee to accompany this blog. Very cool cutting edge info you'll find here.
- http://blogs.sun.com/ansriram. Anjana is another manager in the Information Product Group (which is the official name of the department containing the technical writers in Sun). She's also someone with many years of technical writing behind her. In her latest blog entry she asks: "Want to accelerate your network performance?" If you do, read her blog...
- http://blogs.sun.com/ravi_the_rainmaker. This is a brand new blog by Ravi, a guy who started working as a technical writer at Sun on the day I first arrived at Sun's office in Bangalore. We met in the bus on the way to the hotel where Rich Green gave his all hands speech. Looking forward to seeing what Ravi will blog about! Hope it'll include his first experiences as a technical writer at Sun, would be useful for other new technical writers in the future.
