How One NetBeans Platform Student Helped Another
An interesting thing—because of the NetBeans Platform, Amsterdam NetBeans Platform student Ingmar Hendriks reports (in this interview) that he had more time to create a more ambitious graduation project.
As an example of a more ambitious feature, he mentions that he was able to use Google Protocol Buffers, which he blogged about here.
But, guess what? The protobuf plugin that he used was written by ANOTHER NetBeans Platform student, Piotr Tabor, from Warsaw (interviewed here).
So, both Ingmar and Piotr took the NetBeans Platform Certified Training, in two completely different countries, but somehow indirectly ended up contributing to the same project, i.e., Ingmar's graduation project Project IRI! And, of course, both Piotr and Ingmar are now NetBeans Platform Certified Engineers.
