I praise God that so far planning for Israel has been relatively smooth. The most difficult decision for me is which cameras should I bring. Its like asking which child is my favorite? Photography for me is as much about the experience as it is the image. Shooting at the the Titus 2 Institute seminar this weekend, it was not the the most interesting subject matter. Yet holding my E-1, a relic by today's standards, and listening to the speaker as I stared hours on end at the same scene waiting for the right moment trying to find something to shoot, I could not be happier. I was reminded that I do not need to be in Israel or a far off land to enjoy how God has made me. It's not about having a "cool" image or the newest toy (though I do have a few
). Still haven't quite made the final decision on what to bring, but just in case, I better start working out.
