Welcome!!
Please refer to the following blog for the common array manager product Common Array Manager Blog
After obtaining my degree in Electrical Engineering, I began my career as a hardware engineer at IBM where I designed ASIC's for the PC division in Florida. I then returned to school to complete Master's degree while I worked at Encore Computer Corp. designing fiber optic based communication systems for data storage arrays. Sun Microsystems purchased this division a few years later and I then decided to pursue Software Engineering.
I have been in this industry about 18 years now and have 14 with Sun. I have 8 published U.S. patents but I am more proud to be a husband and father of a wonderful wife and son.
Currently I am a manager for the Common Array Manager (CAM) software team in Sun's storage division which is used to manage Sun's midrange, low-end, JBOD and Solid-State storage arrays. Our product vision is that even when we OEM storage systems from other companies, we provide a common and consistent management interface.
